BORUSSIA-PARK hosts Germany friendly win ahead of EURO 2024
One week before the 2024 European Championships in Germany get underway, the national team beat Greece 2-1 at BORUSSIA-PARK in their final friendly before the tournament.
Borussia are set to come up against 1. FC Heidenheim in their next two upcoming competitive fixtures. The boys started their preparations today for the first of the meetings, where they will host the Swabian side this Saturday on matchday 9 of the Bundesliga (15:30 CEST).
Joe Scally was absent from today’s training session after taking a knock to the thigh in Sunday’s 3-1 derby defeat to 1. FC Köln. Tomáš Čvančara (ill), Jonas Omlin (recovering from shoulder operation), Ko Itakura (ankle pain), Yvandro Borges Sanches (thigh muscle injury), Hannes Wolf (torn meniscus), and Tony Jantschke (muscle problems) were also missing from head coach Gerardo Seoane’s session today.
The Foals completed a strength session in the Performance Center this afternoon. The academy boys will also be training at 15:00 CEST. The upcoming first team sessions on Thursday and Friday morning will both take place behind closed doors.
