Jantschke back in team training

Tony Jantschke returned to team training today ahead of the upcoming home game against VfL Wolfsburg. The veteran had recently been absent due to muscle problems.

The recent 3-3 draw away at Freiburg, in which the Foals conceded a last-minute equaliser, has come and gone. “We’re looking forwards because it’s only three days until our next game,” said Borussia’s head coach prior to his side beginning a new week of training. Borussia will be kicking-off matchday 11 in the Bundesliga as they welcome VfL Wolfsburg to BORUSSIA-PARK on Friday evening at 20:30 CET.

After recovering from muscle problems, Tony Jantschke returned to team training today. On the other hand, Max Wöber, who has been struggling with muscle problems from the Freiburg game, completed an individual session alongside Yvandro Borges Sanches (rehabilitative training following a thigh injury). Lukas Ulrich (shoulder operation), Jordan (muscle injury in the adductor area), Ko Itakura (ankle operation), Hannes Wolf (torn meniscus in his knee) and Jonas Omlin (rehab following his shoulder operation) were all absent due to injury.

Both of Borussia’s further training sessions, which are set to take place on Wednesday morning and Thursday morning, ahead of the Wolfsburg game will not be open to the public.

Manu Koné will be back available for Borussia against Wolfsburg after serving his ban for a red card.
