Rolf Königs named Borussia’s second ever honorary president
Borussia's long-standing former president Rolf Königs has been voted in as an honorary president following the club’s annual general meeting (AGM).
Herrmann named Borussia Player of the Month for September
Borussia fans have voted Patrick Herrmann as the Player of the Month. Hermann was up against Stefan Lainer and Marcus Thuram for the award, which is presented by Cichon Personalmanagement.
Patrick Hermman has won the first Player of the Month award of the new season. The award, presented by Cichon Personalmanagement and decided by fans in the FohlenApp, revealed a clear winner in Herrmann, who secured around 63 percent of the votes. In second place was Stefan Lainer (19 percent), ahead of Marcus Thuram in third (18 percent).
Herrmann was named player of the match in the 8-0 DFB-Pokal victory against FC Oberneuland, the Foals’ first competitive game of the season. The 29 year old played as a centre forward and got things off to a good start, scoring a quick-fire brace in the 12th and 13th minute. In the second half, Herrmann assisted Florain Neuhaus’ goal to make it 6-0.
