Joe Scally joins the team for the week’s first session

On Tuesday afternoon, the Foals began preparations for Saturday’s trip to face Union Berlin. New signing Joe Scally took part in team training for the first time.

After the 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund on Friday night, the Foals were given an extra day off on Monday to enjoy the victory. On Tuesday, however, the coach and his players shifted their attention to the task at hand and reconvened for the first training session of the week. "Our focus today was on the game away to Union Berlin," Marco Rose confirmed.

While the outfield players completed drills in smaller groups during the 90-minute session, the goalkeepers worked on one-on-ones. Alongside new signing Joe Scally, who was taking part in his first training session with the club, youngster Rocco Reitz was also back in action after his time out with groin troubles. "We’re just going to see how Rocco copes with the strain for now. His injury is a result of too much strain, after all," said Rose. Only Valentino Lazaro (muscle injury) was absent at today’s session.
