Poulsen looking to reach semis of U21 EUROs with Denmark

Andreas Poulsen and Denmark U21s will face Germany in the quarterfinals of the U21 European Championship in Hungary and Slovenia on Monday evening (21:00 CEST).

Denmark reached the quarterfinals after going unbeaten in the group stages, with wins against France (1-0), Iceland (2-0) and Russia (3-0). After finishing top of their group, they set up a quarterfinal meeting with Germany in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. "I think that it will be an exciting and hard-fought match, which I'm very much looking forward to. I know that there will be many German fans watching the game on TV and am hoping that I will do well," said Andreas Poulsen (Photo: imago/Bonnerup). Poulsen played the full 90 minutes in two of his side's three group stage matches. Last season, the 21-year-old went back out on loan to first-division side Austria Wien for six months. The left-back made 12 competitive appearances for the side.

Conor Noß made his second appearance for Ireland U21s on Sunday (30/5). The 20-year-old was subbed on a half-time in a 2-0 friendly defeat against Switzerland U21s in Marbella. Noß featured in 21 Regionalliga games with Borussia U23s this season. On Wednesday (12:00 CEST), Ireland U21s will face Australia in another friendly in Marbella.
