Tony Jantschke to retire from professional football
Tony Jantschke will hang up his boots at the end of the current season. The 34-year-old, who first joined Gladbach in 2006, will remain at the club in a non-playing capacity.
Borussia’s left-back Ramy Bensebaini and Algeria will play their second group game at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon tonight (20:00 CET).
After drawing 0-0 in their opening game with Sierra Leone, in which Ramy Bensebaini played the full 90 minutes on the left, the defending champions are under a little bit of pressure going into their second group game tonight against Equatorial Guinea (20:00 CET). The top two in each group plus the four best third-placed teams will make the round of 16. Algeria’s final game is against Ivory Coast on Thursday, 20th January (17:00 CET). Ivory Coast won their first match 1-0 against Equatorial Guinea.
