DFB-Pokal quarterfinal to be played in Saarbrücken on 7th February

On Monday afternoon, the German Football Association (DFB) confirmed the schedule for the DFB-Pokal quarterfinal fixtures. Borussia will be travelling to the Ludwigsparkstadion to face 1. FC Saarbrücken on Wednesday, 7th February (20:45 CET).

The DFB-Pokal quarter-final draw was made at the end of last week by former Germany international Jens Nowotny alongside U17s national team coach Christian Wück at the German Football Museum in Dortmund. An away match against 3. Liga-side 1. FC Saarbrücken was picked out the hat for Borussia, which the DFB has now confirmed will be played at the Ludwigsparkstadion on Wednesday, 7th February (20:45 CET).

Gladbach advanced into the second round in the middle of August after a 7-0 goalfest against Oberliga-side TuS Bersenbrück, where they then went on to beat fellow Bundesliga team Heidenheim 3-1. In the round of 16, the Foals came out on top once again in a 1-0 win over VfL Wolfsburg.

The semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal will be played on the 2nd and 3rd April 2024, with the final scheduled for the 25th May 2024.
