All the important facts and stats ahead of the Foals’ trip to 1. FC Köln on Saturday (15:30 CEST).

  • The derby between 1. FC Köln and Borussia will take place without spectators in the RheinEnergieStadion. The number of Coronavirus cases per 100,000 is currently 36.9 in Cologne. If this number is above 35 on the day before a game, fans will not be able to attend the match in line with the Coronavirus Protection Act.

  • 1. FC Köln and Borussia have met 90 times in the Bundesliga, and the Foals have a significantly better record than their counterparts. Borussia have won on 50 occasions, with Köln winning 24 times. 16 matches were drawn.
  • The last match between the sides was one for the history books. The derby was originally scheduled to take place on 9th February, but it was postponed to 11th March due to a hurricane warning. The rearranged fixture in Mönchengladbach was then the first game in Bundesliga history to take place behind closed doors due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
  • Borussia have beaten Köln more than any other side in the Bundesliga (50 times) and have also scored the most goals against the same opposition (177).
