Stindl is Borussia's player of the month for February

Borussia fans have voted for Lars Stindl as their Player of the Month for December. The Foal captain edged out teammate Yann Sommer to win the award, which is presented by Cichon Peronalmanagement.

Fans have voted for their player of the month for the second time this calendar year, with February’s award going to Las Stindl. This time, the award was a two-horse race, with the captain taking 36 percent of all votes to finish ahead of goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who picked up 32 percent of fans’ votes. Rounding off the voting were Christoph Kramer (21 percent) and Tony Jantschke (11 percent).

Stindl won the player of the month award in December, and now the 32-year-old picked up the title for the second time this season after being voted player of the match on two occassions in February. Stindl made his 200th competitive appearance for the club on Matchday 22 of the Bundesliga in the game against FSV Mainz 05, also getting on the scoresheet.
