Warm-up fixtures for Germany and France

The Germany national team, with Matthias Ginter, Jonas Hofmann and Florian Neuhaus in their ranks, will play Latvia in their final game ahead of EURO 2020 on Monday evening (20:45 CEST). France, meanwhile, will face Bulgaria on Tuesday (21:10 CEST).

The training camp in Seefeld is over and Germany have now made their way to Düsseldorf where they will take on Latvia in a warm-up game ahead of Euro 2020 at 20:45 CEST this evening. “The conditions in Seefeld were really good, we've trained and worked hard and we feel well-prepared,” said Matze Ginter (photo: imago/kolbert-press, r.), who appears to have secured a starting spot for Germany.

Our two other Germany internationals, Jonas Hofmann and Florian Neuhaus, will want to use this last friendly to impress the boss. For Hofmann, it could be a chance to explore a new role. “We've spoken about it already and I think that I could fill that attacking right-back position quite well,” says the 28-year-old. Hofmann added that he has been practicing almost exclusively at that position in training so far. Our number 23 has played 55 minutes for Germany across three caps so far.

Marcus Thuram also has three caps for his country, France, and he will be looking to add a fourth on Tuesday when they take on Bulgaria in Paris (21:10 CEST). The Tricolore face Germany in Munich in eight days time (15th June, 21:00 CEST) as group F of the European Championship gets underway.
