Patrick Herrmann to retire from playing in the summer
Patrick Herrmann will retire from playing in the summer after 16 years at Borussia, including 15 as a member of the first team. The 33-year-old will remain at Gladbach in a non-playing capacity.
DFL to announce Bundesliga schedule on 25th June
Borussia will begin preparations for the 2021/22 season on 3rd July. The Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) will announce the fixture list for the new season on Friday, 25th June.
The Bundesliga will get underway on 13th August, with fans eagerly awaiting news of when the derby against 1. FC Köln or the games against record champions FC Bayern München will take place.

DFB-Pokal first-round draw on 4th July
Borussia will play their first competitive game of the 2021/22 season a week prior to the Bundesliga getting underway, with the first round of the DFB-Pokal on 6th-9th August 2021. The first-round draw will take place on 4th July (18:30 CEST).
