Head-to-head record:

  • This will be the 67th Bundesliga match between Hertha and Borussia, and the Foals’ record in this fixture is slightly superior to that of the Old Lady. The Foals have won 25 of the 66 previous matches, whilst Hertha have picked up 24 victories, and 17 matches have ended in a draw.
  • The goal record of the sides is also very close: The capital-city side have scored 104 goals in this fixture, and Gladbach have netted on 105 occasions. On average, a league match between the two sides sees 3.17 goals.
  • Borussia have gone unbeaten in each of their last four league games against Hertha Berlin (W1, D3).
  • In 280 Bundesliga matches since 2013, Borussia have amassed a total of 448 points, which is 102 points greater than Hertha have won in this period (346). Only FC Bayern, BVB and Leverkusen have picked up more points than Gladbach during this time.

Statistics – presented by UNIBET:

  • Borussia have gone unbeaten in three consecutive league matches for the first time since April, picking up seven points from these games.
  • After having lost their first three away matches of this Bundesliga campaign, the Foals got their first away victory of the season at the fourth time of asking as they won 3-1 in Wolfsburg.
  • Luca Netz transferred from Hertha to Gladbach this summer. Netz spent 11 years at the capital-city side and even became the club’s youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history.
  • Only FC Bayern (155) have had more shots on goal this season than the Foals (131). Hertha are at the other end of this ranking, as only Augsburg (73) have had fewer attempts than them (80) to date.
  • Hertha are one of just two sides yet to draw a league match this season, having won on three occasions and suffering five defeats so far this campaign.
  • The Old Lady have only picked up half as many points at home (3) than they have on the road (6) this season.
  • Jurgen Ekkelenkamp showed his strength as a substitute once again against Frankfurt as he scored his second league goal after coming off the bench this season. It was a repeat of the feat he achieved against Fürth on matchday 5.
