Foals prepare for home game against Union Berlin
On Tuesday morning, the Foals kicked off their preparations for the home game against Union Berlin. Manu Koné was partially integrated into team training, while Max Wöber was missing due to injury.
DFB-Pokal match at Hannover scheduled
The DFB announced the full schedule for the round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday. Borussia will play Hannover 96 away from home on Wednesday, 19th January 2022 at 18:30 CET.
After the draw for the last 16 was made on Sunday evening, the DFB have now announced the exact dates and times for the eight matches. The Foals will travel to play second-tier team Hannover 96 on Wednesday, 19th January 2022 (18:30 CET).
The eight ties will be played on 18th and 19th January 2022, with all sides hoping to reach the quarterfinals on 1st or 2nd March 2022. The semi-finals are scheduled for 19th and 20th April 2022, and the final will be hosted by Berlin’s Olympiastadion on 21st May 2022.
Borussia reached this stage by edging past 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the first round (1-0) and then by hammering FC Bayern 5-0 last week. Hannover, meanwhile, won 4-0 at Eintracht Norderstedt in round one, and then 3-0 against Fortuna Düsseldorf to book their place in the round of 16.
