Match facts ahead of #BMGTSG

Here is everything you need to know ahead of our last game of the Bundesliga season against TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday (15:30 CEST).

Fan information

• Around 48,500 tickets have already been sold for the Bundesliga finale. They can still be purchased as print@home or mobile tickets in the online ticket shop up until half time of the game, while tickets will also be available at the gates from 13:30 CEST. The Bitburger beer garden opens at 11:30 CEST. 
• Drinks cups are being collected in the stadium as part fund-raising initiative from “Nordkurve Aktiv”. The deposit from any cups handed in will go to the Borussia Foundation, with proceeds to be used to help people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Head-to-head record

• Saturday’s season finale will be the 28th meeting between TSG and Borussia in the top flight. The Kraichgau club edge the head-to-head record, winning nine of the 27 clashes to date. The Foals have seven wins, while eleven match-ups have ended in a draw.
• Both sides have remained in the top flight since being promoted together in 2008. Only four teams are currently on longer uninterrupted spells in the Bundesliga: Bayern, Dortmund, Leverkusen and Wolfsburg.
• Hoffenheim have lost just one of their last eight Bundesliga games against Gladbach (3-0 at home on 28th September 2019). However, each of the last five meetings have ended in a draw.
• Nico Elvedi (red card) and Munas Dabbur (5 yellows) are two of the just three players across the Bundesliga who will miss matchday 34 through suspension.

• Borussia have lost just one of the last eight Bundesliga games (3-1 vs. Köln), collecting 15 points during that run. There have been four wins (2-0 vs. Hertha, Bochum and Fürth, 3-1 vs Leipzig) and three draws (1-1 vs. Mainz and Frankfurt, 3-3 vs. Freiburg).
• The Foals will finish this Bundesliga season in the bottom half of the table for the first time in eleven years. The goal in the season finale is to defend tenth place. Three other teams could still finish there: Bochum (11th, also 42 points, away vs. Union), Frankfurt (12th, 41 points, away vs. Mainz) and Wolfsburg (13th, 41 points, home vs. Bayern).
• Saturday will be Adi Hütter’s 135th Bundesliga game as a head coach, surpassing Peter Stöger in the standings among Austrians – only title-winning coaches Max Merkel (229) and Ernst Happen (204) are ahead of him.
• Matthias Ginter, who is set to play his final game for Borussia on the weekend, has scored more Bundesliga goals against TSG than against any other club (4, all scored in his 7 Gladbach appearances vs. Hoffenheim).
• With 46 points to their name, Hoffenheim will finish the season in at least ninth. TSG have improved slightly on their debut season under Sebastian Hoeneß              (43 points, 11th).
• Hoffenheim have failed to win any of their last eight Bundesliga games, picking up just three of a possible 24 points.
