Fraulo: “I hope I can become a part of the team step by step.”

In his first interview as a Foal, new signing Oscar Fraulo spoke to us about the kind of player he is and the goals he has for his first campaign at Borussia.

Borussia have signed 18-year-old midfielder Oscar Fraulo from Danish club FC Midtjylland. An U19 international for Denmark, Fraulo has signed a deal at BORUSSIA-PARK until the end of June 2026. In an interview, the new man spoke about his move.

Oscar, how does it feel to be a Borussia Mönchengladbach player?

Fraulo: It feels unbelievable. When I looked around the stadium, I couldn’t wait to play in front of the fans. Borussia is a club with a unique history, and I’m really excited to become a part of that history.

You’re only 18 years old, so still a very young player. What made you decide on this move?

Fraulo: Borussia is a club well known for giving young players a chance to develop. The mix between young and experienced players in the squad is very good, and I’m looking forward to being part of that squad. I think this is a great chance for me.

How would you describe yourself as a player?

Fraulo: I’m a classic box-to-box player. I look to go forward and like to burst into the opposition’s penalty area.

One more to finish: What are your goals for next season?

Fraulo: I know I’m a young player and I need to be patient before I cement my place in the team, so to start off, it’s all about getting to know the coaching staff, the rest of the squad and the club as a whole. That way, I hope I can become a part of the team step by step.
