DFL confirm timings of first seven matchdays

The German Football League (DFL) confirmed the exact dates and times of the first seven matchdays of the Bundesliga 2022/23 season on Friday morning.

The opening seven fixtures were given exact dates and times by the DFL this morning. The Foals will play one Saturday afternoon game, three Saturday evening games, once on a Friday evening and twice on Sunday evening.

Daniel Farke’s team welcome TSG Hoffenheim to BORUSSIA-PARK to kick off the season on Saturday 6th August at 15:30 CEST. A week later, Borussia will play their first away game of the league season on the road against Schalke 04 on Saturday 13th August at 18:30 CEST. The Foals' Bundesliga matchday takes place on Friday 19th August (20:30 CEST) with a home game against Hertha BSC. Eight days later, the trip to FC Bayern Munich will be played on Saturday 27th August at 18:30 CEST.

Two Sunday games are then on the schedule. On 4th September (17:30 CEST), Borussia host 1. FSV Mainz 05, a week before visiting SC Freiburg on 11th September (17:30 CEST). Borussia will then take on RB Leipzig on Saturday 17th September (18:30 CEST).
