Recovery and the arrival of the national team players

A recovery session was on the agenda for the Foals on Wednesday morning in Rottach-Egern, and some of Borussia’s international players are gradually making their return to the team’s training camp in Tegernsee.

Nico Elvedi was the first Gladbach international to arive at the Althoff Seehotel in Rottach-Egern, and further national players joined us on Wednesday after their extended holiday awarded to them due to the international fixtures that were played in June. “Training camps like these are very important for raising spirits within the team. The group can get to know each other very well. This means it’s also important that the national players come and join us here, too,” said head coach Daniel Farke. The new arrivals will be undertaking the obligatory performance checks at the hotel following their arrival.

Instead of the team bus, their teammates rode bikes to the training pitch in Birkenmoos this morning before taking part in a recovery session. After eating lunch together, the players were treated to the afternoon off. Some Foals took this time to take a relaxing trip to the sauna, whilst others went for a dip in the lake or for a peaceful drink of coffee.
