Borussia begin derby preparations under Riemer

Borussia got preparations underway for this weekend’s (Sunday, 15:30 CEST) derby against 1. FC Köln on Wednesday afternoon. In addition to head coach Daniel Farke, Ramy Bensebaini was also absent from training.

Assistant coach Edmund Riemer lead the session, standing in for Daniel Farke, who is in home isolation as a result of a positive coronavirus case. Riemer was assisted by fellow coach Christopher John for the session.

Ramy Bensebaini was also unable to train, with the Algerian missing out due to an infection. Yvandro Borges Sanches completed parts of training as he managed his workload and Torben Müsel trained individually because of an adductor problem. Florian Neuhaus, Ko Itakura (both knee) and Hannes Wolf (shoulder) all missed out through injury.

The Foals will train four more times ahead of Sunday’s home game against Köln (15:30 CEST): twice on Thursday, once on Friday morning and once on Saturday.
