New week of training begins without Kramer

The Foals began preparations for the game against VfL Wolfsburg this Saturday (15:30 CEST) on Wednesday afternoon. Christoph Kramer was absent, while Manu Koné and Joe Scally didn’t fully train.

Borussia’s matchday 10 fixture will see them travel north to play VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday (15:30 CEST). Preparations began on the training ground on Wednesday afternoon with an hour and a half session. “I was really satisfied with today. It can sometimes take a while to get back to your best following such a fantastic derby win, but the lads were already fully focused and trained at a high intensity,” said head coach Daniel Farke.

Kramer a doubt

As well as the long-term absentees Florian Neuhaus (partial PCL rupture), Ko Itakura (partial MCL rupture) and Hannes Wolf (shoulder operation), Christoph Kramer was missing from training. The midfielder suffered a capsular haemorrhage and partially ruptured a ligament in his ankle on Sunday. “He’s a real doubt for Wolfsburg, however we will try all we can to get him fit in time,” reported Farke.

Koné completes some running exercises

Manu Koné was only able to complete some running exercises, while Joe Scally didn’t take part in the whole training session. “Manu took a knock to his calf on Sunday. We hope that he can rejoin training in the coming days and then play at the weekend. Joe was suffering from cramp at the end of the derby and overstretched. He joined the first part of training, but we took him out of the session when we did some sprinting and a drill involving the ball. He looks good for Wolfsburg," added the boss.

Manu Koné went for a run instead of training.
