Training camp at Tegernsee for the tenth time

The Foals will take part in a summer training camp this year from 23rd to 30th July in Rottach-Egern. Borussia had prepared at Tegernsee from 2012 to 2019, as well as in 2022, and will follow suit next season too.

Borussia will be celebrating an anniversary this year as it will be the tenth time in total that they will have held their summer training camp at Tegernsee. Borussia held pre-season preparations in Rottach-Egern every year from 2012 to 2019. After that, summer training camps in 2020 and 2021 took place in Harsewinkel-Marienfeld due to the pandemic, before the Foals returned to Tegernsee this year, and they will once again be staying in the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern from 23rd to 30th July 2023.

"Holding our summer training camp at Tegernsee is a tradition that we have become very fond of," said Borussia’s sporting director Roland Virkus. “We will be greeted by optimal conditions once again and we're looking forward to seeing the odd Borussia fan there.”

Christian Köck, the mayor of Rottach-Egern is also excited to celebrate this anniversary: “We will give the team, the brilliant fans and all the club staff a warm welcome once again this year. Rottach-Egern is looking forward to the Foals' visit and wish the club a successful training camp and the best of luck for next season.”
