New signings train for the first time, trio of players return

The Foals headed into their second week of pre-season training today, with new signings Tomáš Čvančara and Franck Honorat taking part for the first time. Luca Netz, Ko Itakura and Joe Scally also trained with the team for the first time since returning from holiday.

The first week of pre-season ended with a 1-1 draw in a friendly against FC Wegberg-Beeck. The team had Sunday off, before returning for a training session on Monday afternoon. Luca Netz, Ko Itakura and Joe Scally (all away on international duty in June) were back in team training for the first time since returning from holiday. Also taking part for the first time were new signings Tomáš Čvančara and Franck Honorat. “This week will be primarily about integrating these players back into training,” said head coach Gerardo Seoane.

Jonas Omlin is currently training individually, after having returned to training earlier than planned. Jan Olschowsky (left thumb injury) and Manu Koné (knee) are both working on their comebacks. Fabio Chiarodia will be integrated into training at a later date, having won the U19 European Championship with Italy U19s on the weekend.

The team will train at BORUSSIA-PARK on Tuesday and Wednesday (10:30 and 16:00 CEST), as well as on Thursday and Friday (10:30 CEST). They will also take part in two individual sessions on Thursday afternoon and Sunday morning. The second pre-season friendly will take place on Sunday (15:00 CEST) against third-division side 1. FC Saarbrücken. Following the game, the Foals will travel to Tegernsee for training camp. Their first session there will be on Sunday (16:30 CEST) at Birkenmoos is Rottach-Egern.
