Foals begin the week of training with Jordan and Wolf

The Foals started their preparation for their Bundesliga game against TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday (15:30 CET) today.

Jordan, who had to be replaced at half time in Dortmund due to a shoulder injury last weekend (4-2 loss), was back on the pitch straightaway as the week of training got underway. “Jordan is still feeling some minor pain, but he was able to train normally again today. I’m assuming that this will be the case for the whole week,” said head coach Gerardo Seoane. Alongside the ill Nico Elvedi and Robin Hack (personal reasons), Tony Jantschke (thigh injury), Jonas Omlin (recovering from a shoulder operation), Lukas Ullrich (recovering from a shoulder operation) and Ko Itakura (recovering from an ankle operation) were all still absent.

Hannes Wolf was back in team training today for the first time since he suffered a torn meniscus in his knee in mid-October. “For now, he’s got to focus on getting back to full confidence in his body and working his way back into the team. We hope that we can gradually increase his workload,” said Seoane.

Wednesday’s training session will be open to the public (11:30 CET), whilst the Foals’ two further sessions on Thursday and Friday will take place behind closed doors.

Hannes Wolf was able to take part in team training with his teammates for the first time since suffering a meniscus tear in his knee in the mid-October.
