Thuram reaches World Cup semi final with France

Marcus Thuram was an unused substitute as France reached the last four of the World Cup with a 2-1 win over England in the quarter final.

Harry Kane equalised from the penalty spot (54’), before Olivier Giroud restored the French advantage (78’). Kane had a chance to level the scores with another penalty in the 84th minute but put his effort over the bar.
