Borussia’s second leg against Man City also in Budapest

The second leg of Borussia Mönchengladbach’s UEFA Champions League last-16 tie against Manchester City on Tuesday, 16th March (21:00 CET), will no longer take place in Manchester but rather in Budapest.

Because of the current travel restrictions in Germany, the Gladbach players and staff would have to quarantine for 14 days upon returning from Manchester. Borussia therefore informed UEFA on Tuesday evening that they cannot travel to England, with Manchester City deciding on Wednesday morning that the second leg will instead take place in Budapest’s Puskás Aréna where the first meeting was also held. The Foals will travel to the Hungarian capital on Monday, with the game set to kick off at 21:00 CET on Tuesday night.
