Match facts ahead of #BMGFCA

Everything you need to know ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga home game against FC Augsburg on Saturday, 12th February at 15:30 CET.

Spectators

  • Thanks to new Coronavirus regulations, matches at BORUSSIA-PARK can now be played in front of 10,000 spectators. There are still some tickets available in our online ticket shop.
  • Only people fully vaccinated against or recovered from Covid-19 are permitted entry to the stadium, with a recent negative test also required (max. 24-hour old rapid-flow test or max. 48-hour old PCR test). A negative test isn’t necessary if you are boosted.
  • Face masks must be worn throughout BORUSSIA-PARK. Children yet to start school are exempt from the mandatory wearing of a nose-and-mouth covering.
  • Food and drink kiosks are open from 13:30 CET. The Bitburger beer garden remains closed on Saturday.

Head-to-head record

  • This will be the 22nd meeting in the Bundesliga between the Foals and FC Augsburg. The head-to-head record is almost even so far, with the Függerstädter claiming seven wins to Borussia’s six, while eight fixtures have ended in a draw.
  • Gladbach haven’t lost any of their last six Bundesliga home games against FCA (W4, D2) – the last defeat to the Swabians at BORUSSIA-PARK was a 3-1 loss on 23rd May 2015.
  • Borussia suffered an unfortunate 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture earlier this season, with Florian Niederlechner scoring the winner in the 80th minute.

Tony Jantschke to retire from professional football

Tony Jantschke will hang up his boots at the end of the current season. The 34-year-old, who first joined Gladbach in 2006, will remain at the club in a non-playing capacity.
